Use hotel standard furniture – flat-pack and cheap furniture looks good when new but does not adequately withstand wear and tear.
Avoid trends - furniture has trends just like fashion - e.g: avocado bathroom suites. Steer clear of trends that may date a property in the future.
Allow time to order furniture: furniture can take 4-12 wks to arrive – your chosen sofa may be beautiful, but if it is 4 wks late, you cannot let your property… it is also essential to check measurements – not only for the space it should fit into but also for access.
Final styling is crucial. Pay due care at the final stages.
